Where Did It All Begin?
Wigs LDN is the vision of a mother-daughter duo – Rochelle (mum, on the left) & Trenaise (daughter, on the right).
It all started when Rochelle grew tired of the overpriced, poor-quality wigs being sold online and wanted better for herself and for women everywhere.
Rochelle’s love for hair began at just 7 years old when she first started experimenting on her own hair. Before long, she was charging her school friends £1 each to cornrow their hair – a true entrepreneur in the making.
Over the years, she explored different business ventures but always came back to her true passion: hair and beauty. A self-taught wig maker and “mumtrepreneur,” Rochelle decided to step back into the industry she knew and loved, determined to change the game. Having once been director of one of the first Black-owned wig boutiques in North London, she already had the skills, the supplier connections, and the experience teaching others how to create custom wigs.
But the real turning point came after the birth of her fourth child. Rochelle began experiencing severe postpartum hair loss that developed into alopecia. Suddenly, wigs weren’t just a luxury – they were a necessity. Experiencing that journey first-hand made her even more determined to provide high-quality, natural-looking, long-lasting wigs that are accessible to all women, whether they are facing hair loss, want a new look, or simply love switching up their style.
Today, with Trenaise bringing fresh eyes, market research, and a finger on the pulse of what women love, Wigs LDN has grown into a brand known for quality, trust, and community.
What started as frustration with bad wigs has transformed into a mission:
